RAPTOR Proof of Concept Video

OUR STORY

The story of RAPTOR begins with a simple sketch on a paper napkin by Gary Weiler, a 30-year veteran of the industry-leading Haskell Company's pipe quality team. As a Subject Matter Expert, Gary had seen firsthand the devastating consequences of pneumatic pressure testing gone wrong. He knew there had to be a better way to ensure worker safety and streamline the testing process.

In 2020, Gary submitted his idea for a remote pressure testing device to Dysruptek, Haskell's Innovation and Corporate Venture Capital arm, during their annual internal innovation event called Big Pitch. To everyone's delight, Gary won the event and was pledged the necessary resources to turn his idea into a reality. Thus, RAPTOR was born.

The name RAPTOR is derived from the acronym for Remotely Activated Pressure Testing, Observation, and Recording. Over the following year, the team worked tirelessly to develop the first prototype of the device and tested it in the field. They validated the use case of RAPTOR and secured a patent on the device.

During this time, there was a lot of buzz from trade partners and clients about the device and how they could get their hands on one. RAPTOR was never intended to become a product, but the team knew they had developed something that could potentially save lives in the industry. They went back to the drawing board and designed a robust device that was durable for the field, easy to use, and increased efficiency while ensuring worker safety.

Today, we at RAPTOR are passionate and proud about what we do. We are dedicated to making a difference where it matters most - in ensuring the safety and well-being of workers in the industry. Gary's vision has become a reality, and we are excited to continue improving and innovating with RAPTOR.

Our Story

Since 2005, Hester has done more than refine an old tradition. Guided by an international palate, we fuse unique pickling techniques from around the world to create the most interesting flavors and textures.

Hester makes everything in small batches from our home base in New York. To achieve optimal flavor, our products age from three weeks to four months, making every pickle worth your patience.

Hester produces fresh, organic produce from local farmers in New York. Even our spices are fresh. Just because pickling is a preservation process doesn’t mean you can use dried-up thyme or week-old asparagus that’s already a little spongy.

We want to give our customers crisp, crunchy and delicious pickled vegetables and fruits. Most of all, we want to expand people’s palates and prove that pickles don’t always come in a green or red variety.
